Can we use the automatic car wash?
We get this question from every customer - in short, YES! You can use the automatic car wash! It is your car, and you should do as you please! However, we advice against it and here's why:
First and foremost - you will void your warranty instantly. Every ceramic coating company stipulates in their terms and conditions that you must use a ph neutral soap to ensure the longevity of the coating, which automatic car washes do NOT use. Secondly, their car wash soap will degrade the coating that you spend so much money on, and you wont get the value out of the coating. And, thirdly, for $200, you can get yourself a very good electric pressure washer, and you can spend an hour every sunday detailing your car from the comfort of your own home! Who wouldn't want to do that!
At 'The Protection Headquarters' we are 100% transparent with all customers - so if your goal is to detail your vehicle at an automatic/self serve car wash, then do not invest the money into a coating! There is absolutely no point!
We understand that it is more convenient, but your vehicle is most likely your second biggest asset after your home, so why would you not take care of it with proper detailing products!
